#MONPOSTPosition Summary:Responsible for the ensuring appropriate service levels for desktop, scanning, and print services as well as for hardware support of servers and network equipment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Translates requirements for desktop, scanning, and print services to implementation plans
  • Installs and configures desktop, scanning/handheld technologies, and print services
  • Installation and support of servers and network equipments
  • Provides day-to-day technical on-site support for:
         * Workstation hardware (desktop, notebooks)            * Workstation OS& Applications (Microsoft e.o.)        * Printers, cabling, phones, barcode scanners         * Network equipment         * Server hardware         * Handheld technologies        * User& email accounts
  • Develops repeatable practices for installation, trouble-shooting, and configuring hardware and software (standardization, image processes)
  • Provides Level 2/3 support for desktop, handheld technologies, and print services
  • Analyzes identified problems; determines appropriate escalation paths; and escalates identified problems to appropriate technical personnel (Distributed computering, Customer Support Group or GNS Europe)
  • Works with business operations personnel providing appropriate levels of support services
  • May be responsible for the leadership and training of less experienced personnel
  • Implements integrated solutions using industry standard practices
  • Keeping technical knowledge level up-to-date by self-study and provided training
  • Documents installation manuals, proved solutions, processes and activities.
  • Of site and/or remote Customer support for UPS shipping solution (HW and SW)
  • Basic knowledge on ODBC and XML data exchange/ flow.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Mature interpersonal and communication skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Time management skills
  • Technical knowledge of desktop, server, handheld, and print technologies
  •  Degree: MBO  or equivalent working experience
  •  At least 1 year  as Field Support Specialist or relevant experience
  • MCP Windows 7 and/or 10 experience
  • Support experience with the following:
  • MS Office professional - Exchange clients - Warehouse management software - MS Windows platform (workstation) - LAN cabling - Imaging - RF (spectrum 24) barcode scanning - Printer configurations - Windows domains - Client-servier applications - Software related to the transport branch - Intel based notebooks& desktops - Anti Virus software (Symantec) - Push Technology - Replacing hardware components - Citrix clients
  • Other: in possession of a driving license min. class B - working location Netherlands or other facility that needs on site support. Main responsibility will be facility where engineer is baded or facilities near that facility.
